We hope everyone enjoyed the summers months. We're looking forward to a productive and successful second half of 2010! Join us SePtember 8th, 2010 for our first meeting back since summer break. Our meeting will be at Lina's Restaurant starting at 12PM. Our guest speaker will be Eileen Miller - Reliant Card Acceptance.

Congratulations to each of our scholarship winners for their hard work! We presented all four winners with a $1,000 scholarship at our June Meeting. The recipients were Scott Shiavone - Riverdale,
Jaclyn Nunziato - Bloomingdale, Erika Lakawicz - Butler, and Meredith Horton - Kinnelon.

GENERAL MEETING
The general meeting of the Tri-Boro Area Chamber of Commerce was called to order by Jerry Vinci at 12:20 with a salute to the flag. Four officers and three trustees were present.
APPLICATIONS FOR MEMBERSHIP
No new applications were received this month.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM THE MAY 12 , 2010 MEETING
A motion to approve the minutes was made by Lucille Brule and seconded by Dave Warfield.
TREASURER’S REPORT
The Treasurer’s Report was read by Denise Brewster.
A motion was made by Helyne Oberndorf to accept the Treasurer’s report and seconded by Vivian Vinci.
BILLS AND COMMUNICATIONS
A. Bills to be approved for payment were as follows:
1. Postage for June - Paid by Debit Card $28.00
2. Checks issued to Scholarship Award Recipients $4000.00
A motion to approve payment of the bills was made by Lucille Brule and seconded by Jim LaSala.
B. Communications
1. A letter was received from Tri County Chamber of Commerce announcing the Retirement of Kathe Crimmins. Replacing her as President will be Caryn Luberto.
2. A letter was received from Steve and Donna Montfelt of Space Stor Self Storage informing the Chamber of the sale of Space Stor to another entity. The Montfelts will no longer represent the facility as Chamber Members.
C. Committee Reports
Fundraising Committee – Jim Murasko informed attendees of an upcoming Chamber fundraiser to be held on Thursday, September 23rd from 7-9PM at Gary’s Wine & Marketplace, 1308 Route 23, Wayne NJ. The cost for this fundraiser will be $20.00 per person. The event was organized by Kristen Totaro.
Jim reminded attendees of the distribution of raffle tickets at the September 8th meeting. The raffle will be held on November 10th, 2010.
OLD BUSINESS
A. Jerry Vinci reminded attendees to take advantage of the member to member discounts available on our website www.triborochamber.org.
NEW BUSINESS
The Scholarship Committee Report was presented on behalf of Bill Stanton by Chamber President, Jerry Vinci, who commented on this year’s recipients. Jerry noted that all were involved in Community Service.
Scholarships were presented to the following individuals.
Bloomingdale Jaclyn Nunziato who plans to attend Rutgers
Butler Erika Lakawicz who plans to attend UCLA
Kinnelon Meredith Horton who plans to attend Georgetown
Riverdale Scott Schiavone who plans to attend Ramapo
CHAMBER MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
The 5 minute spotlight was held by Kristen Totaro of N2 Publishing. She informed the group as to how local community publications can be a unique way for businesses to reach community members. Kristen selected the business card of Karen Austin of Valley National Bank who will be spotlighted at the September 8th meeting.

A motion to adjourn the meeting at 12:55 PM was made by Phil Azzolino and seconded by Dave Warfield.
GUEST SPEAKER
There was no guest speaker due to the Scholarship Awards component of the meeting.

APPLICATIONS FOR MEMBERSHIP
One new membership application was received from iCentral Ophthalmology, P.C., Michele Gatto, MD. A motion to approve this membership was made by Bill Stanton and seconded by Lucille Brule.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM THE APRIL 14, 2010 MEETING
The April 14th meeting minutes were amended to reflect Coldwell Banker as the proper company represented by Lucille Brule. A motion to approve the minutes was made by KC Smith and seconded by Bill Stanton.
TREASURER’S REPORT
The Treasurer’s Report was read by Denise Brewster.
A motion was made by Dave Warfield to accept the Treasurer’s report and seconded by Janice Nelson.

2. Scholarship Applications have been received from various students.
3. Christina Genovese, Director, Business Affairs Office of the Governor, has communicated with the Chamber regarding her scheduled attendance at the May 12, 2010 meeting.
C. Committee Reports
Fundraising Committee – Jim Murasko presented the current fundraiser to the attendees. Growing Kids/Renewal will be partnering with the Chamber in a Fundraiser at the store running from June 1st through June 8th.
